Honeymoon travel tips

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Honeymoon travel doesn’t usually seem like event planning to many newlyweds, but in order to have the honeymoon that you want and deserve, it would be best to look at it in this way. Be organized, and plan well in advance. If you book your trip early, not only will you save money, but you’ll have something exciting to look forward to after the stress of planning your big day has passed. Have all of your traveling needs taken care of before your wedding, so that you’re less likely to forget something in the craziness of the wedding day itself and in leaving for your trip. This includes your passport, any other documentation you might need, packing your clothes, and arranging to have your wedding rental equipment returned in your absence. Honeymoon travel can also be more expensive than regular travel because travel agents and hotels inflate prices when they know why you are on vacation. If you want to hang on to the all the little perks that come with this – such as staying in the honeymoon suite, complimentary foods or drink, etc. – feel free to tell your agent or the hotel manager that you’re just married. However, if these things mean less to you, don’t tell them that you’re newlyweds, and you can save that money for some other aspect of your honeymoon.

Business travel

Business travel will mean that you have less time for fun; after all, spending four of your five travel days in a convention center or at meetings will limit your experiences of the new locale. Still, business or corporate travel can be enjoyable if you can take the time to restructure your plans. First, if you have the airline miles, the money, or your business travel plans are flexible, try to stay a day or two longer in your destination. Even if you switch to a new hotel, you will have the time explore your surroundings. Look online for things to do in your destination city, and ask hotel staff what they would recommend. If your corporate travel agency is pretty rigid regarding your flight dates, try enjoying good restaurants, spa amenities, or even a nice long walk (so long as the neighborhood is a good one). You can do some fantastic sightseeing on a simple walk or by going to a local favorite restaurant where you can soak up the culture.

cheap travel Travel happens under many different circumstances. But whether it’s vacation, work, or something in between, you’ll need to know the best way to make your trip at least comfortable, and at best, wonderful!

Cheap Travel

Cheap travel doesn’t have to mean second rate vacations or unattractive accommodations. In fact, in today’s competitive market, traveling on a budget can still be fun, and even luxurious. Just remember that the key to cheap travel is creativity, and work. Take the time to search for great rates on flights, hotels, or car rentals. Book these things early for great deals, or search online for last minute deals. Don’t forget to look into the websites of major airlines, since they’ll often have their own pages for last minute deals. Also, look into creative alternatives that will still get you where you want to go. If direct flights are too expensive, take a cheaper flight to a nearby locale, and then take a smaller flight or a train to your actual destination.

travel

When you work hard, you need some time to rest and relax, and this is especially the case in America today. Americans work much more than most other industrialized nations, in some cases up to fifty percent more, and until recently most Americans didn’t take advantage of their vacation time, feeling “too busy” to escape from the daily grind. Too much work with little time to recharge can lead to depression, and so it’s no wonder that travel has grown to mean more to us in recent years.

These days one can go on vacation regardless of what time of year it is. If you can’t get any time off until December, go somewhere temperate like Australia or South America. In the summer you can enjoy warm weather in Europe, relax on the beaches of Hawaii, or travel the wilds of Canada to enjoy the great outdoors.

In any case, the opportunities for rejuvenation are out there, along with the excitement of travel and the learning experiences available to those who vacation in new and exciting locales.

Plus, today’s competitive travel market allows a lot of savings to be passed on to the consumer, meaning that you’ll pay less for your trip as long as you are a smart and savvy vacation shopper. Make your travel reservations early, and you’ll almost always catch great deals. Conversely, if you make your travel reservations based on a last-minute travel opportunity, you can also save a lot of money. Just don’t bet on finding those all the time, since they’re usually only available in off seasons.

Today’s technology allows us to travel like never before, and the ultimate vacation is waiting for you to enjoy!
